Multi-component gas dynamics and turbulence

چکیده
The system of gas-dynamic equations, corresponding to the first order of approximation in the successive approximations method of solution of kinetic Boltzmann equation for multi-component mixture of gases, is derived. Interpretation of turbulent flows of gases is proposed within frames of multi-component gas dynamics, as stratified on components flows of gases. PACS numbers: 02.30.Mv, 05.20.Dd, 47.27.Ak

Driving Force for Nucleation of Multi-Component Gas Hydrate
Based on driving force for crystallization of one-component gas hydrate, in this report an expression for the supersaturation for crystallization of multicomponent gas hydrate is derived. Expressions for the supersaturation are obtained in isothermal and isobaric regimes. The results obtained are applied to the crystallization of hydrates of mixtures of methane plus ethane and can apply to ...
متن کاملMulti-Component-Multiphase Flash Calculations for Systems Containing Gas Hydrates by Direct Minimization of Gibbs Free Energy
The Michelsen stability and multiphase flash calculation by direct minimization of Gibbs free energy of the system at constant temperature and pressure, was used for systems containing gas hydrates. The solid hydrate phase was treated as a solid solution. The fugacities of all components of the hydrate phase were calculated as a function of compositions by the rearranged model of van der Wa...
متن کاملEvaluation of Turbulence on the Dynamics of Monopile Offshore Wind Turbine under the Wave and Wind Excitations
In recent years, the use of offshore wind turbines has been considered on the agenda of the countries which have a significant maritime boundary due to more speed and stability of wind at sea. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of wind turbulence on the aero-hydrodynamic behavior of offshore wind turbines with a monopile platform. Since in the sea, the wind turbine structures ar...
متن کاملCOUPLING MODEL FOR MULTI-COMPONENT GAS PERMEATION PROCESS
A gas permeation model (Coupling Model) has been developed which has the flexibility to be used for different membrane module configurations. The aim of this work is to predict the performance of a single stage gas separation process using membranes and provide a comprehensive description of process parameters like flow rates, composition, stage cut and stream pressure. The significant feature ...
متن کاملNumerical Simulation of Air-He Shock Tube Flow with Equilibrium Air Model
In this study, a compressible multi-component Navier-Stokes flow solver with real gas effect is developed for studying the high-speed flow in an air-He shock tube. For compressible multi-component flow simulation, a reduced five-equation model in conjunction with HLLC approximate Riemann solver is employed. For the real gas effect, a curve-fitting approximation for equilibrium air constructed f...
